CALLING THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IS ONE WAY TO INQUIRE IF YOU HAVE A WARRANT
THE RULES FOR A WARRANT CHANGED IN 2019 AND MANY AGENCIES HAVE NOT UPDATED THEIR WARRANTS TO BE SUFFICIENT. THE WORDING ON THE WARRANT ABOVE DOES NOT COMPLY WITH ART. 45.014 / 45.015
Request a copy of your warrant and any supporting documents, and compare them to the requirements in the code of criminal procedure found in the Texas statutes.
